An alley-oop is a play in basketball in which one player throws the ball high in the air toward the basket, and another player jumps up and catches it before dunking it. Alley-oops are often used when the offensive player is closely guarded and needs to get the ball above the defender’s reach.
To perform an alley-oop in NBA 2K23, the player with the ball must first press the “Lob Pass” button (L1 on PlayStation, LB on Xbox). This will cause the player to throw the ball high in the air towards the basket. The player receiving the pass must then press the “Dunk” button (Square on PlayStation, X on Xbox) to catch the ball and dunk it.
