The Commodores were an American funk and soul music group formed in 1968. The group’s classic lineup consisted of William King (lead vocals), Lionel Richie (saxophone, vocals), Thomas McClary (bass guitar, vocals), Milan Williams (keyboards, vocals), and Walter Orange (drums). The Commodores are best known for their hit singles “Easy,” “Three Times a Lady,” and “Still.” They were one of the most successful R&B groups of the 1970s and 1980s.
